Supported Living Accommodation

The Phoenix Care Ltd supported living accommodation provides a safe and supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues to flourish and live life to the fullest in the heart of the community.

We provide different levels of support, from one to one support on an hourly basis, to full-time support with sleep-in staff.

This service currently runs from an eight-bedroom house with communal bathrooms and toilets, a communal kitchen, a lounge area and a recreation/arts and crafts room.

Phoenix Care Ltd focus on promoting independence. Service users are encouraged to enhance their independent living skills to their maximum potential, but also develop new skills which could help them towards gaining more independence. In the house, staff support with cooking and meal preparation – in group sessions or one to one. Staff assist and support service users to develop their skills for domestic tasks or improve on their personal care skills.

We offer one to one support for a range of activities, from personal care tasks to accessing the community. Should service users require it, one to one support is available for meetings and appointments, but also for classes in the community to pursue hobbies and interests.

We organise regular day trips and outings packed with activities for the service users living in the house. We have several networking opportunities, where service users from the supported living accomodation get together with other service users of ours living in the community. We organise parties and barbeques for special occasions; friends and families are always welcome!

Weekly, a local artist organises an Art Class at the house; a local musician organises an African Drum Session every week. Other hobbies, like pottery or photography are encouraged and we will support you to find and attend classes in the community.
