Live-in Care for People with Learning Disabilities

We, at Phoenix Care, strive to provide the best service possible. Live-in care is a service that enables people to live full lives in their own homes, with the proper care and support. Our highly trained staff are able to provide the necessary care and support whilst promoting independence and encouraging individuals to develop skills.

Clients are an active part of the team creating their care plan after carefully assessing needs. With the client’s approval, needs assessments are carried out by involving the individual’s entire circle of support, to ensure individuality is captured and the best care and support plan will be put in place.

Once the care plan has been created, we ensure our live-in carers have and take the time to meet and learn about the client/service user, thus creating a rapport and helping the individual feel comfortable and safe with our staff members in their homes.

Phoenix Care provide a wide range of services to assist and support individuals with all aspects of daily life. We ensure our staff are trained to provide different levels of personal care, from getting out of bed and into bed or getting dressed, to full assistance with bathing/showering and hoist assisted transfers. Phoenix Care staff are trained to administer medication, assist with meal preparation, with an emphasis on building or rebuilding skills to maximise independence.

We focus on the social aspect and the opportunities available to people when they are living in their own homes with the required level of support. We organise arts and crafts classes, we offer one to one support to access the community and all services of interest in the community. We believe that people flourish when they are part of a community; being part of a group helps develop social and cultural abilities and improves the image of self.

Through our live-in care services, Phoenix Care promote independence and choice, whilst ensuring you are safe and making full use of your home.
